Two of Knysnas most well-known hospitality brands, The Knysna Log-Inn Hotel and Graywood Hotel, have merged.

Going forward the two hotels will be run as a single property utilizing a centralized, online booking system. This will now offer guests 106 multiple room types, 49 Standard and 57 Luxury roomsthe while still delivering high quality guest service. Both hotels are fully Covid-19 compliant withstaff being vaccinated and strict safety protocols in place.

The Knysna Log-Inn embodies an “indigenous” concept that combines the character and spirit of the surrounding forests with Knysna’s romantic wood cutting history and elephants. The spectacular lobby with its yellowwood trunks and amazing 3m stained glass windows brings a calm and relaxing ambience to the weary traveller.

The Graywood Wing is across the road from the Log-Inn Hotel. In keeping with the character and spirit of the surrounding indigenous Knysna forest the hotel enjoys beautiful woodwork throughout. The wood is complimented by courtyard gardens which feature a sparkling swimming pool suspended in a wooden sundeck.

An extensive collection of original railway and steam train memorabilia recall a bygone era, while our selection of historic photographs gives you deeper insightKnysna’s locomotive past.
