THE BIG is a newly renovated Luxury Hostel in Green Point, Cape Town and is the first of its kind.

THE BIG offers its guests the best of two worlds – the style, service and cleanliness of a guest househotel, with the amazing social aspect of a hostel at competitive rates. Everyone that leaves THE BIG is sad to go.

THE BIG isabout creating a space that acts as a "home away from home"of our rooms are unique in style, shapes & have been newly renovated & styled by fabulous interior decorators.

Theyhave bathrooms, are serviced daily with clean towels and linen provided.

THE BIG has an inverted hence load shedding doesnt affect THE BIG.

Free parking is available, a tour desk can help to organise any day excursions and an airport shuttle at a charge. THE BIG is centrally located just a 5 minutes walk to V&A Waterfront and Sea Point Promenade, The BIG offers a choice of modern private room or dormitory room accommodation. It features a pool, braai facilities and free Wi-Fi and a free breakfast.

The hotel day starts from hour 14:00 and ends at 10:00.

Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note thatSpecial Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Double Room with Private External Bathroom. THE ROOM WITH THE BATHROOM DOWN THE HALL is a ground floor room, it is known to be a very loud room! It is NOT en-suite, as per its name it has a detached bathroom which is down the hall from the bedroom; it has a smartTV, a fan, the room comes with 2 single beds or 1 king size bed. Please note that if you are a light sleeper this is not a suitable room for you. ;
Double Room with Fan. There are several standard rooms at the backpackers, they arecozy in size, are en-suite, have a fan, a smartTV, fast & secure wifi with a choice of 1 king size or 2 single beds. ;
Superior Double or Twin Room. The backpackers has several aircon rooms, they arefitted with a smartTV, fast & secure wifi, areensuite, with a choice of 1 king size or 2 single beds. ;
Family Room with Balcony. THE FAMILY UNIT consists of 2 rooms linked by a balcony overlooking the pool. The rooms have aircons, smart TVs, with either 2 single bed or 2 king size beds. The rooms have 1 ensuite bathroom and 1 detached bathroom. ;
Double Room. THE TINY ROOM is an upstairs room & is outside the main building, it is en-suite, has a smart TV, a fan and has ONLY A DOUBLE SIZE bed which is smaller than a queen size bed. As per its name, it is a very small room. ;
Mixed Dormitory Room 3 Beds. THE MIXED DORM sleep 3 on 1 single bed and a bunk bed, it is ensuite, has a fan, smartTV and lockers. The Dorms are near the breakfast area which tend to be noisy rooms. ;
Female Dormitory Room – 3 Beds. The Girls Dorm features 3 single beds and is en-suite for added privacy and convenience. It comes equipped with a smart TV, a fan for comfort, and lockers for secure storage. This dorm accommodates only ladies. ;
Economy Double Room with King Bed. This twindouble room is comprised of a TV with streaming services and a private bathroom. ;
